Characteristics

  • A small, slender shark; snout long and depressed. No spiracles. Labial furrows well-developed and moderately long, the upper ones about equal in length to eye diameter and ending well behind eyes. Teeth similar in both jaws, low-crowned, oblique and narrow-cusped.
  • Grey or grey-brown above, white below; dorsal and anal fins with dusky or blackish edges; fins slightly darker than back.
  • Maximum size: to 102 cm.

The Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
